The Challenge:
The customer was in full production when a devastating hurricane destroyed their current manufacturing facility and the main crop that was required for the product, sugar. The customer quickly had to find an alternative manufacturer and a replacement for the sugar in their pet care products.
AVEKA Solution:
AVEKA partnered with the customer to identify a new core particle using local commodities. Several test collaborations between AVEKA R&D and the customer revealed that corn cobs were a beneficial replacement for the sugar granules. Due to the versatility of the tablet coaters, AVEKA scaled up the test runs to full production with minimal impacts to their final product.
